Review on 🚀 CreekKooler PuP Floating Cooler: Ultimate Towable Cooler for Rivers and Lakes - 15 Quart Capacity by Iration Ahim

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent product, almost 5 stars.

I recently purchased a 15 liter CreekKooler for a weekend trip to Arizona. The article worked well and only didn't get 5 stars because of the minimal opt-out. This is a great article. We had another member of our group with the same item in red and he also enjoyed his. I gave it 4 stars and could probably persuade myself to give it a full 5 stars if it weren't for a few minor things. The robust and durable design is positive. We had to wade through some fallen trees and debris and the CK worked great with no damage or issues. I liked the color (lime green) and was quite close to my kayak. I like the little hole to put the flag (safety flag/old glory) through and the o-ring on the seal looks high quality. The coasters worked, there was no spilling. The ice was in the fridge in Arizona in the summer, lasted about 36 hours. The cost seems fair, especially considering how much companies like Yeti charge. I also think it's the perfect size and I'm glad I didn't order the 30 liter bottle as I feel it would be overkill for 90% of my trips. It seems to have the right combination of capacity and weight for a weekend getaway. Cons: Capacity seems overpriced. There's no way I would fit 15 12-ounce cans in and then add ice (10 pounds?). I would say I could fit 7-10 cans max. The lid is difficult to operate with one hand. The lid has a twist lock design and can be difficult to open when holding a paddle or similar. While in the water, remove the cap with both hands and hold the hull while twisting the cap with the other hand. The carry handles also double as tow handles and tend to move left to right as you paddle. This can be helped by creating a more central area for towing on one side (not sure, haven't tried but I can drill a center hole in the carry handle). I also kept my CreekKooler on a shorter leash (about 16 inches) and was able to get it close enough to the boat to remove objects from it while still keeping it short enough that it wouldn't snag on objects in the water or get wild followed . I liked this item and would recommend it to others.
