Review on ๐Ÿ” MLEEDA USB Switch Selector: 4 Computers Sharing 4 USB Devices, Remote Control, and 4 USB Cables Included by Brandon Rogers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works but has some design flaws

The switching part itself works perfectly. There is a slight lag, but it switches between PCs quite well. It's nice that there are enough cables to connect all four together. It is also nice that no external power supply is required. What's not so nice is that the indicators make it almost impossible to see which input is selected. The angle of the LED is so small that you have to be practically upstairs to see the options. If you have muscle memory you're fine, but switching between four different machines quickly can be tiresome. A remote would be ideal for hiding the switch and not having to bother with it, but the sensor makes it so finicky about getting a direct line of sight to the device that you might as well use the buttons. And the fact that the same LEDs are the feedback for remote work makes it pretty much useless. Other cons. The manual is useless but it's pretty easy to follow. Front panel inputs and rear panel outputs make wiring a nightmare. The design is a bit loose, especially the front ports. And no batteries for the remote control, not even those "industrial" cheap batteries that are literally thrown in every remote control. Not a big deal, just a little annoying. At least it works. I would love to use it.

Pros
  • Ideal for device sharing: sharing peripherals like printer, scanner, mouse, keyboard, card reader and other USB devices between up to 4 computers. Wireless mouse and mechanical keyboard support. It is a good switch for sharing and transferring data.
