Review on πŸ”‹ mCover Protective Case for Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga (3rd Gen) Laptop - 14-inch, Green by Curtis Richardson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Does its job but not very well

In general, the cover isn't bad, but there are a few flaws that bother me. FIT: The case slips on and off easily and is easy to install. It's flush with most of the body and feels good. However, due to the construction of the bottom (small feet/part that snaps onto the device) the laptop does not close completely (see photo). I think this is a major disadvantage and I worry about dirt/dust/objects getting on the keyboard or screen when my laptop is in my bag. FEATURES: All connections and fans are still accessible (see photo). case seems easy. As mentioned in another review, the Yoga cannot be used in tablet mode. There is not enough room in the case to rotate the device 180 degrees even if you only have the top or bottom attached. It would be easy to remove the case if you had to use the Yoga in tablet mode, but it would definitely be annoying. AESTHETICS: I thought the transparent case was actually transparent, but it's more of a translucent frost. /White. In photos it looks good with the silver X1, but it doesn't match up with the black laptop. I wouldn't recommend buying the clear version if you have a black X1 Yoga. Also, there is a part on the top of the case (the lid) that looks whiter as if the paintwork is uneven - I couldn't take my eyes off when I noticed this (see photos). BUILD QUALITY: The plastic feels strong enough/doesn't flex but looks like a regular piece of plastic. Nothing spectacular. Probably has moderate protective properties. ---- SUMMARY: If you *really* need a case for your X1 Yoga, there are few options. If you accept that you can't use a laptop in tablet mode and don't mind the design flaws, then it works. Otherwise it's not worth the price.

Pros

Cons
