I bought this unit as a Christmas present for my mother-in-law. I charged the device before she opened the gift so she can use it after opening her gift. Charging the device with the included AC charger was normal. Came down the hill from there! A few days later she opens her gift and of course likes to use it like everyone else. It took us about an hour to get Wi-Fi working. I basically had to hard reset the device to get the Wi-Fi error message gone and available wireless networks to appear. After that, we can connect to Wi-Fi and successfully connect to various online sites (e.g. google/msn.etc.etc). We wanted to install several applications. Well, little did we know it was MUCH harder. It turns out that the App Store that you can see/use on any other Android device is NOT the same as the Android Market that you can use. to! It's a website called Apps Lib! It is specially made for this type of tablets from Hong Kong! So forget about transferring apps from our Android phone to tablet and vice versa. Whenever we tried to access the website we got a lot of errors (like server connection not available, blank white screen and a few others that I don't remember). One day we managed to get to the EUSA screen where we accepted the terms and were redirected to the home page. As soon as we started searching for the app, we again saw a white screen with nothing! decided to call the toll-free number included in the device. As part of the log (before you ever speak to a person) there is a disclaimer that APP Lib is NOT a Coby supported asset and if you are having trouble with APP Lib you must go to their website! That tells me that they get quite a lot of calls about apps for this device. I am accessing the website from another computer in the house and it seems that the website is down for maintenance. This is some relief as it could have explained some of our problems sooner. So we decide to charge the device overnight and try again the next day. Now the device doesn't charge anymore! We literally used it ONCE and after that one time use it broke! The next day I see that the battery is still there, so I try to use Lib for Apps again and I have the same problem as the day before! I check the website again via another computer and the website works or at least looks like it! The website has a message stating that if you have problems, you can try updating your tablet with the latest software. I think PERFECT! So I take the steps to download and install the software. So far, so good! I try to open the software and get a message that the software is not compatible with this tablet. I'm done! It will be sent back tomorrow! I HIGHLY recommend ANYONE who wants a cheap tablet to AVOID IT! I would try to save $$ to get a quality unit, trust me you will be VERY happy you did, it's a joke!
