I almost ordered this cable because of the negative reviews. My experience - Fast shipping. Definitely 5mm. So far I've used 148 yards and it looks like the roll definitely contains at least 164 yards. The roll was clean and wrapped tightly in plastic so there is some odor when opened as it is a natural fiber that has been wrapped in plastic wrap. After opening, the smell disappears. The cord is solid - absolutely no knots or dangling threads. There may be a higher quality cotton cord, but it is perfect for 3 macrame plant hangers. Very satisfied.
