I recommend this PSU for a "normal" computer with a hard drive - and a graphics card that is no more expensive than a small car. :) If you're building an "Extreme!" system, you probably won't look at it anyway. But if the performance meets your needs, this is a really good choice. Cooler Master is a well known brand and this thing is surprisingly quiet. Like,"almost silent" quiet. I have the 460W version which has a set of old Molex connectors (three large 4 pin connectors and one smaller connector) and two sets of SATA power connectors, two connectors each (4 SATA connectors total). It features a pair of 4-pin 12V connectors and a 20/24-pin ATX motherboard connector. All individual bundles have a zip tie roughly midway between the ends (and on multi-terminal sections, a zip tie between terminals) which is an inexpensive way to keep the wires in a more manageable bundle. Poorly? - The motherboard connection is not very good because the extra 4-pin segment is loosely connected to the 20-pin segment, making it easier to install on a 24-pin board. - The wires are simply screwed to the metal housing and not routed through a strain relief or socket. - Only rated for >70% efficiency which means it dissipates a little more heat than it needs / draws a little more power than it could - Has more outlets for SATA devices than I need as I'm still using PATA. These are pretty minor things as the wires should never really move (so abrasion of the PS case isn't a big deal) and you only connect the motherboard once (maybe 2-3 times). if you update a lot). And the performance, while not amazing, is probably better than in your regular suitcase or most consumables that are more than a few years old. All in all considering how quiet this PSU is and how well built it is I think it's a very good deal and I'll be getting a few more of these for some of my PCs with noisy fans and even less efficient nameless ones Buy power supplies. . BTW, if you're still running a non-SATA system, you should probably order a pair of these ATA male to LP4 female power cables so you can balance your devices between separate harnesses. Personally, I would suggest putting the optical drive on one harness, the hard drive on another, and the fans on the third old harness.
