*Sorry for the photo on the side! Shown is a leg in shorts after a quick test run as it should be. I'm x-small in the size chart. When I ordered the small ones were about $10 cheaper than the xs and several reviews mentioned that they were packable and a bit small. That was enough to convince me to order a small one. They are very comfortable but definitely not compressible for me and I'd better go to the size chart and order X-Small. For reference, my waist is 26.25 inches, hips 34.75 inches, thigh circumference is 19.75 inches. They rode up as I walked, presumably because the fabric around my legs didn't compress at all.
