I've been running at Newton's since 2014. At first I was concerned that they were something for advanced users and expected a long break. My first run in it was smooth, comfortable and easy with no break in time and that was 6 years ago. Since then I have owned 4 pairs of Kismets, 1 Fate and this is my third distance shoe. About this shoe; light, comfortable, well designed. That means the support is in the right places. These shoes do not have thick heels. Thick heels force you to land on your heel, which is a biomechanically incorrect way to walk. Running in heels will end up ruining your knees, hips, and ankles. Secondly, the shoes are designed in such a way that they do not stand out. Even worse than heel strikes, arch strikes will eventually destroy the metatarsal bones. Third, Newton shoes are designed to cushion the balls of your feet, which should be touching the ground when you run. On the other hand, in my opinion, all other shoe brands are rubbish.
