To be honest. I've been quite skeptical about buying protein shakes lately, especially after reading the reviews, but I've been looking for a coffee flavored shake for a while and decided to give this one a try. As for taste. You have to remember that this is a protein shake. It won't look exactly like coffee as the protein will overwhelm it, but it doesn't taste bad at all. The texture is not chalky like most powders. it really makes you feel more energized and fresh, and for the price, you really get a decent amount without feeling ripped off. I shook it with ice first and after it's been sitting for a while it builds up so you have to keep shaking it. A few days later I decided to mix it with almond milk and bought a shaker and it seems to have helped. But after a while I thought why not mix this coffee protein with real coffee right? So I bought unsweetened coffee (yes, Dunkin Donut flavor) from the store, put about 6-8 ounces of it in a blender, some ice, 3/4 cup almond milk, 1 scoop, blended smoothies. And wow, I found my morning smoothie.
