Overall I would say these are good, cheap and reliable shorts. They're made out of fairly thin material, so be aware that they're primarily designed for sports or leisure use. As far as it fits me I usually wear a medium size when there is nothing for my waist and although these shorts fit medium I have decided to buy another pair in the same size. I feel like the environment is just a bit too small. After a while I will feel the waist part digging into me. I don't feel it until I take off my shorts and then I see the marks they left on my skin and I feel a little uncomfortable. The big ones aren't even that much bigger. If I hadn't known big is big I would have thought it was medium. So if you are a tall person, keep that in mind and maybe order a size up.
