I had high hopes for this mic when I bought it for a cooking video. The build quality seems really good and I love the fluffy windshield. The cable is long enough to meet all needs. Unfortunately, this microphone picks up a lot of background noise. No matter how I position it or how precisely I aim it, it picks up sounds behind it. It picks up so much noise from my fridge that it makes my videos unwatchable. If background noise doesn't bother you, this is a solid microphone. But if you want to isolate audio based on where that mic is pointing, you should look elsewhere.
