Review on Dehydrator Commercial Professional Adjustable Temperature by Ellen Chase

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works like a charm good features

Update: I first checked this in April and just wanted to say it's still amazing now in July. They also sent me 5 silicone mats for my first review (that doesn't have to be a good review by the way; it's 5 stars because I honestly think it's a good food dehydrator). I'm glad they did because I can use it for smaller things like herbs and diced beets. Made amazing dried mango slices, zucchini chips, jerky chicken, kimchi chips (maybe powdered kimchi which is even better) and when I'm not using it heavily I put my herbs, chamomile and candied flowers in to dust dry. -free. It ventilates reasonably well even when unplugged, making it a good dry closet. I kind of tickled pink with it. I will update the information at the turn of the year. it can easily accommodate 75-80. Currently running 6 *huge* apples in 4 trays so it can probably hold 15 per batch - more if you overstuff it. I'm still impressed. ----- Exactly the features I was looking for - all stainless steel, large capacity, temperature control and timer, and most importantly, a wider *range* of temperatures. Pre-heat to 165°C or higher before dehydrating - many dehydrators can't rise above 160°. Tried it with a batch of cabbage chips to test with great results. Easy to set up and use. It comes with a spare bulb and looks like it can be easily repaired at home with regular parts. If something goes wrong after the warranty period has expired I will next time use a thermometer to see how accurate the temps are - for now, 5 stars!
