Works with the latest PIV cards but has some shortcomings

made it untenable: - Low data rate. The card is read much more slowly than, for example, an ACS or HID reader. - Very light and easy to move (the weight of the cable can easily tip this reader over) - Uncomfortably bright LED status indicator. I put a piece of tape on it to allow this reader to stand on my desk.
