Not Worth the Money

This product did not meet my expectations. Through trial and error, I found that it was not compatible with all computers and its performance was subpar. One advantage though is that it is durable. However, its lack of compatibility with multiple computer models makes it not worth the money.

Pros
  • Durable
Cons
  • Not compatible with all computers

Works with the latest PIV cards but has some disadvantages

This reader works and is great value (hence the 4 star rating) but the following disadvantages made it unsustainable: - Slow data rate. The card is read much more slowly than, for example, an ACS or HID reader. - Very light and easy to move (the weight of the cable can easily tip this reader over) - Uncomfortably bright LED status indicator. I put a piece of tape on it to allow this reader to stand on my desk.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Poor set
