I run 5 miles 3-5 days a week. I was looking for new shoes that also fit the budget. My Skechers style was updated/discontinued and I kept reading that the ASICS brand was rated highly. I've never tried it, but I'll be skeptical about trying again. I'm by no means a marathon runner, but my foot has never hurt this much after running in these shoes. The lack of bow and sole support was killing me. Experiencing physical pain while running is not what it should be. The soles don't seem to absorb shock, so it's like walking on concrete with no relief. The fit/size was as expected but the shoe got thrown in the box after trying to break it in for a couple of runs and was still in pain after the run. I tried adding memory foam insoles and I think that only made things worse. I really, really wanted to like these shoes but I listen to my body and they didn't live up to expectations. I think they would be comfortable as a fashion/hiking shoe but not designed for any type of movement.
