If you look at the picture both sides of the tie clip have a tension clip at the top as gravity should pull the tie down. However, one of mine has a clip at the bottom so a heavy tie will be held in place by a weaker tension clip rather than a longer, stronger rod. I thought there might be a way to rotate the arm, but there is a plastic stop that runs along the eccentric thus preventing this. In short, one of these is only good for holding ties to one side. Luckily there were two in the kit and the other one was correct. So far I haven't had any problems with the tie hanger falling apart. That was my initial problem, but after loading and unloading the ties every day for three weeks, they didn't fall apart, so my worries about this were largely reduced. UPDATE: Ipow contacted me almost immediately after the initial review was posted and sent a replacement tie hanger. There was a slight language barrier, but it was obvious that they really wanted to solve my problem. I definitely recommend this product and I especially recommend IPOW! Thank you!
