Review on πŸ“± Fusion5 10 inch 104Ev2 PRO Android Tablet PC - (Android 10.0 Q, 3GB RAM, 32GB Storage, Bluetooth 5.0, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, HDMI, HD IPS Screen, GPS, FM, 5MP & 2MP Cameras) by Tyler Bonnell

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Good solid construction Compared to 2017 version - both versions of Fusion5

update 20210412 - black screen. Factory reset (the hole next to the power button) doesn't reset it. I see the backlight turn on, but then it just goes off. Virtually dead. A few weeks out of warranty so back to the 2017 version which still works. Used them for 3 generations: 2015 which slowly refused to boot after 3 years. 2017 on Android 6, which was fine until recently when the cameras stopped responding. The latest version running Android 10 is about 2mm thinner, about 7mm wider than the 2017 version, has a total viewable screen width, and is about the same screen vertically, minus an extra 1cm at the bottom edge that was formerly exclusive to the panel Controls, but at 10, now multi-gesture swipe up. The extra 1GB of RAM makes switching between multiple apps smoother. The display is noticeably whiter than the previous version for reading white pages (sorry for the moirΓ© pattern in the 3rd photo). Feels better with the new matte plastic. The screen is still relatively glossy, but responds well to multi-touch gestures. The camera is now in the top-right corner in portrait mode, which makes the images slightly off-center for facetiming. USB-C is a nice addition, although the USB-A port is gone. Same mini HDMI and 1/8 inch stereo headphone audio plus a microSD slot. In terms of performance, it's a bit smoother than the 2017 version, although we went from 8 to 4 cores on an ARM processor, but I think it's running at a higher clock speed. The video is smooth and not jerky. Restoring apps went smoothly with a Google account for both. Download in 2 minutes. For the price of my iPad Pro I've had 3 different Fusion5s and am happy to have a stable and affordable Android option for apps alongside iOS for those who don't use other options.

Pros
  • Improved wireless connectivity - In addition to an HDMI port for connecting TVs, our PC tablet uses Bluetooth and powerful dual-band WiFi to provide twice the standard's typical connection speed. The tablet PC supports GPS and FM as standard.
