I really liked the product. Sturdy, big (2 liters to be honest), double wall construction keeps the coffee warm and I was able to pour it easily. I also liked the brushed metal look and design. In fact, the lid has an inner lip that keeps it in place, as well as a beveled lip that can be rotated forward to enlarge the fill hole or rotated to the side to make it smaller and trap more heat . Bravo! However, I couldn't avoid the metallic taste I felt in the coffee that came from it. In a family of 4, two of us had a metallic taste and one didn't (one wasn't asked). We tried rinsing it out with vinegar and using it for a couple of weeks hoping the taste would improve because otherwise the product was amazing. While the metallic taste appeared to be reduced by about 60% after the vinegar treatment, repeated cleaning and use, after the return period had passed the taste was still too strong for me so we returned it. The same coffee made in a glass press had almost no metallic taste. Our experience may have been the result of a one-time manufacturing issue, something to do with a polished metal finish on the inside or metal-to-metal contact on the inner wall of the plunger, but we ultimately decided to look for another solution for coffee.
