Revainrating 5 out of 5

Super fast and super portable. - UPDATED

Super fast and super portable. With the 1TB version, I averaged 470MB/s writing and 515MB/s reading from a 2016 MacBook Pro via USB-C. The drive weighs absolutely nothing. The hole at the top is perfect for threading a carabiner through and hanging from the pull tab in my backpack. 2 problems: 1. I want the USB-C to USB adapter to be firmly attached to the cable so that the cable can be attached to the drive.2. Good luck ever registering a warranty on this thing. The San-Disk warranty registration page is TERRIBLE. I've been trying to register it in several different browsers for almost an hour and kept getting told that the S/N doesn't match the product. I bought it directly from Revain as a retailer otherwise I would be concerned that it is fake. They make great products but their website UX leaves a lot to be desired. I ended up reading online that several other people had the same issue with the site. It is ideal for storing footage while filming or other quick operations. I always buy some cheap WD or Hitachi 4TB or 5TB portable drives (they don't cost more than $120 right now) to back up when I have 10x more backup time in my spare time. In any case, if I need to back up data, I always have redundant backups. (ANYTHING can fail, be lost, or be stolen.) But this drive excels in convenience, speed, and portability. I typically wipe and replace about 750GB of data on this and about 1.3TB on the 2TB version about every month or so. Both have proven reliable and have been a significant time saver when I'm traveling due to time constraints.
