Review on Efficient and Stylish RSVP International Tea Strainer Collection: Large 2-1/2-inch Diameter by Crystal Jenkins

Here's some knowledge and evaluation

The reviewers who say tea balls rust don't understand the chemical properties of tea. These tea balls are made of stainless steel. They don't rust. The brown discoloration is caused by the tannic acid in the tea itself discoloring the strainer after a few uses. Your tea balls will not rust. You just change the color. The mesh color will change over time even if you wash your tea ball regularly. As for the quality of the tea ball, in the tea supplies department, it is about the same as in a real tea house. The clasps on all mesh tea balls are flimsy. Unless you open or close the clasp with the brute force of a gorilla, your tea ball will last for years. The last 2.5 inch mesh tea infuser I had came from a real tea shop and was exactly the same quality. It took me 10 years for the solder joint on the clasp to fall off. The people who complain that a 2.5 inch tea ball is too big for their teacups or their personal teapots obviously have no idea how big 2.5 inches is. Diameter when extrapolated to a sphere. The 2.5 inch diameter tea ball is designed for a large ceramic or glass teapot or a wide-mouth teapot. It is not intended for cups or personal pots. If you want something for your personal teapot, get a tea ball that is 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. If you want something for a cup of tea, get a 1-1/2" diameter tea ball or a pressure cooker. I am a tea lover and have been using loose tea for decades. If you use stainless steel tea balls properly, you understand that the chemistry of tea will cause metal stains, and you buy a tea ball of reasonable size for your purpose, you will be as satisfied with these mesh tea balls as I am.
