Net not thin enough

Unfortunately the net is not thin enough to prevent the tea from floating in the water. Since I originally bought this to make kombucha from organic green tea leaves, it doesn't really work for my purposes. However, I was able to repurpose it to add bay leaves to soups or stews. I wouldn't buy it for that alone, but now that I have it I really appreciate not having to fish for bay leaves and hope I caught them all. Back to tea - I ended up buying nylon webbing. Bag of nut milk and use it…

Much more personal and helpful!

I used to have a smaller version of this book which I gave to my sister. I think the one I had was only 1 to 2 inches tall; but it's the perfect size! It has enough tea leaves for me to taste the tea and is wide enough to peel off easily when I need to wash it (I wash by hand, by the way - we don't have a dishwasher). I love it! I was also confused as to how it was supposed to stick to the rim of my cup until I realized that the little hook-like thing could bend to become a hook that 'sticks'…

Misleading labeling No answer Very poor packaging

It's a tea ball --- There's no answer --- Workmanship and materials are noticeably inferior --- Items came in plastic packaging and each of the four items was crushed --- Legitimate RSVP Product Packaged --- The ones I received weren't 2-1/2" in diameter - they were 2-3/4" and didn't fit my kettle- -PLUS: After providing the Photos the seller refunded the money in full and apologized for the packaging and explained this as a mistake in the shipping and handling department. If you read other…

You can buy the same tea ball in ANY Asian market

First of all, this product is NOT "RSVP". This is a cheap JoyCook brand that you can probably find in an Asian supermarket for half the price. This seller also packaged this tea ball for my recipient in one of those plastic mailing envelopes that failed to protect the mesh from warping and crushing. What a shit package. However, the instructions for the JoyCook say something along the lines of "Do not use if crimped or bent in any way." [insert laugh] However, this tea ball has been used five…

Perfect fit for my Tetsubin

I bought the 2-1/2" size because the 2" mug sized tea ball just isn't big enough to hold enough tea for a whole (small) pot and still give that leaves room to draw properly. It's amazing! It even fits in a mug or cup of tea, although that's probably too much. I was very pleased with the secure closure. This teapot falls in my teapot won't come apart no matter what I do it with this.(Just don't bend any hard metal parts.) It was packaged in a thin cardboard box which fitted perfectly and…

Here's some knowledge and evaluation

The reviewers who say tea balls rust don't understand the chemical properties of tea. These tea balls are made of stainless steel. They don't rust. The brown discoloration is caused by the tannic acid in the tea itself discoloring the strainer after a few uses. Your tea balls will not rust. You just change the color. The mesh color will change over time even if you wash your tea ball regularly. As for the quality of the tea ball, in the tea supplies department, it is about the same as in a real
