Review on Efficient and Stylish RSVP International Tea Strainer Collection: Large 2-1/2-inch Diameter by Anita Simnioniw

Revainrating 5 out of 5

You can buy the same tea ball in ANY Asian market

First of all, this product is NOT "RSVP". This is a cheap JoyCook brand that you can probably find in an Asian supermarket for half the price. This seller also packaged this tea ball for my recipient in one of those plastic mailing envelopes that failed to protect the mesh from warping and crushing. What a shit package. However, the instructions for the JoyCook say something along the lines of "Do not use if crimped or bent in any way." [insert laugh] However, this tea ball has been used five times. Expensive Japanese loose-leaf green tea leaves had trouble staying in the shell due to the deformed shape, which we were trying to "straighten out". We thought we did a pretty good job restoring the form to its original state (probably not). The disappointing impressions do not end here. The cheap design of this tea infuser contributed to the tea leaves snagging on the edges of the sides, which couldn't be removed by squirting with hard water or a stiff dish brush. I had to take a safety pin and take them out one at a time, and even then I couldn't remove all the leaves. Waste of six dollars and change.
