Review on πŸ”† Sengled Smart Light with Google Integration by Donnie Boss

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Gave up after many attempts to connect these lamps.

Okay, my apologies to any reviewers who actually had much experience pairing and tuning these tubes, but I have to believe that these many high ratings are a scam. I consider myself pretty tech savvy, but after an hour of not being able to get this lightbulb to connect to my network and then using Alexa to find it, I've given up and am sending it back. Here's what I expect from new smart bulbs (based on 1 in 2 smart bulbs bought): 1. Turn on and off something like 3 times until the light blinks - clear light, it's in pairing mode2. Ask Alexa or the app to find it (e.g. add a device, etc.) 3. After 30 seconds, the bulb is found and the job is complete. This crappy bulb: 1. Extremely blurry, hesitant initial flash, then stays on - is this in pairing mode? 2. Follow Alexa's instructions, then go to the step that says you need to download the associated app. All other brands follow some sort of standard that a regular app or Alexa will just find, but not this one! And by the way, they boast that you can just set it up directly with Alexa, who will then prompt you to download their special app.3 . I ended up connecting it to their dedicated app and then told Alexa to find a new device but it couldn't. So I announced my resignation. FAILI will come back and look for another brand and not rely so much on review ratings next time.

Pros
  • Schedule & Timer: Never go home to a dark house - use the lighting schedule in the Sengled Home app and you will be greeted with warm light. With the timer function, you can turn the Wi-Fi smart bulb on and off automatically.
Cons
