Review on πŸš— allsun Car Memory Data Saver - Power Supply Cable with OBD II Memory Saver Connector and Two Alligator Clips by Paul Dobson

Works Perfectly - Tools & Hardware

I had to change the battery in my 2017 Outback and wanted to keep all the settings. Searched Revain and finally decided to give Allsun a chance. I really liked the idea of the indicator lights showing that everything is OK. I was VERY nervous because if it damaged the car's electronics it would quickly become very expensive. I connected the device to the OBD II which was located under the dashboard on the driver's side. Immediately saw a green light, meaning the connection was successful. I had a small 12v battery from my JDeere garden tractor. I put it on the ground and then connected it to the sun. Both LEDs are green. Outback battery disconnected, went to NAPA and got a replacement. Installed new battery and then disconnected Allsun from OBD II. I turned the car over, all settings remained. Ideal. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • β‘‘: Alligator Clip Car Charger, You can use this car data logger to power your car's computer through OBD-II port or cigarette lighter socket while replacing your car battery. Car Data Saver requires an additional 12V battery as a temporary power source. This is a very useful tool for car service.
Cons
  • Everything OK
