I've used this in 2 tanks (biocubes) where the HSG was starting to show (one worse than the other). Before using Fuzz Out I was light feeding weekly, I reduced the light by 2 hours, reduced the feeding to two days and added an extra flow head. Also, I changed about 30% water once a week. continuously for 2 months, and before that it was about 30% every other week. In addition to all of this, I also performed manual removal (using a scraper, tongs, and pinching off the algae by hand while pumping out the water). One of the two biocubes had sanctuary and light on an 8 hour schedule. Yes, and I also changed the filter material one day after feeding (about 15 minutes after feeding). So I added Fuzz Out because I love Fritz and the algae got worse. Everything stayed the same, I kept having the problem but this made it noticeably worse between toilets than without and I suspect this was absorbing energy (the only thing I can think of). Not to mention my pipe organs and GSP have completely shut up. After deleting Fuzzout, making another toilet and moving house, I'm back where I was. In short, I would not recommend this. It seems to be nothing more than carbon and GFO, nothing special.
