This hood has a very strong suction, it's definitely an upgrade to my old microwave hood, the reason I want to replace my old one is when I'm cooking the house will smell, I never ran into this problem after an exchange. I have never worked on a hood or duct, it only took me an hour and a half to complete the replacement process. It is very easy to clean as everything is made of stainless steel. And the drip pans are easy to remove and all you have to do is throw them in the dishwasher and they come out good as new. I love it.
