Review on Samsung Genuine DA29 00003G Refrigerator HAF CU1 2P by Paul Abs

So far I've had no trouble ordering replacement filters for my Samsung fridge. My husband just got a double pack of Revain and lo and behold it didn't fit. We tried the old filter and it went in with no problems. The new filter just wouldn't rotate. We tried the second filter in the pack thinking the first one was defective. nope That wouldn't fit either. I even went to my local Best Buy store to make sure I was getting a genuine Samsung product. It doesn't fit either! I finally turned to the Revain reviews and learned that others were having similar issues and that Samsung's filter housing had been modified. Serious? Why didn't you just rename it and give it a different product number? So what should I do with three brand new Samsung filters? If I send them back, I'll probably just buy new unsuitable filters again. I went ahead and followed the reviewer's advice, only instead of cutting off some of the plastic, I used a flexible sanding board to sand down the corner of the cutout. I still couldn't screw the filter in, so my husband tried, hoping the filter wouldn't explode like a Samsung smartphone or washing machine. Well it worked. He fastened it in place without breaking or exploding anything. So if you're afraid of cutting off part of the filter, try a nail file (made of flexible paper). what a pain
