UPDATE: A year later my kids are still taking them on vacation. They take her to her grandmother's. They play with it almost every day and still love it. Instead of just building with them, they incorporate other cars/blocks and build garages and ramps. Great toys! My kids use them daily if not hourly. The magnets hold very well which other brands don't have. If the magnets fail, the kids will get angry. If you want to avoid unnecessary crises, buy them. Transparent rounded tiles are rubbish as the magnets are smaller and more fragile. They have been dropped, thrown, kicked and smashed. They still work like new. They cost about the same as Magnatiles ($1 per tile) but a lot less. I like Magnatiles better as they are bigger but we have bought 2-3 packs already. and in that moment there is no turning back.
