Review on ⏰ Enhanced Youngtown High Torque Clock Movement Mechanism with 12 Inch Spade Hands - Extended Shaft Design for Precise Timekeeping by Chad Myers

stopped working after 3 months

We have a large 48 inch diameter wall clock. The original mechanism lasted 10 years until I set the time and they stopped turning. So we bought this one to replace it. It was nice because the hands were identical to the ones we replaced. month it stopped working. I found that the battery was dead. I took them off the wall to swap them out to find that the battery was actually vibrating from the outlet. No big deal, back in and it was working again. So all I had to do now was adjust the time. Then the block broke. He turned the hands 90 degrees and now they don't turn. The original lasted 10 years with twice yearly timing, this one lasted two timings. Now I have to look for something with slightly better quality.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I will add later
