Good helmet but there is something wrong with the straps

There is something wrong with the straps on this helmet and they do not fit well even though they are adjusted correctly and the helmet is the correct size. The straps attach to the top of the helmet but go down around the head inside the helmet without going around or through the plastic webbing so the straps are not attached to the sides of the helmet in any way. Other helmets (everyone I've seen) have straps that go through the plastic on the rim of the helmet so the straps hold the helmet on the head. I can press on the helmet and it rises on the side I press on. I tried taking it apart and tightening the straps, but it wasn't without some serious disassembly beyond my skill and willpower. If it is provided by the design then it has a design issue and if not by the design then it has an assembly issue. I would avoid it. Apart from this (in my opinion) significant drawback, the helmet seems good. However, note that it has no backing, so it is not suitable for skateboarding, tricks, etc. It was designed to go straight on a bike in a safe seated position like an adult, but it was designed for children who tend to do everything but go straight in a safe seated position.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Old model
