Review on Rectorseal 96503 Kickstart T05 by Tony Moody

This jump starter is just what I needed. I have a very old wall mounted 1.5 ton AC unit in my house that cools the bedroom. The air conditioner is too big for the small bedroom it cools so even at low fan speeds the compressor cycles on and off every few minutes which is far from ideal. The problem I had was that after turning off the AC had to sit for a minute or two to allow the pressure to equalize before the compressor kicked in again. This was a problem because it shortened cycles so often and often tried to start again less than 30 seconds after it had been shut down and often shut down the compressor due to thermal overload because it couldn't start which is very bad for the compressor. It's got a new capacitor, it won't turn on just 30 seconds after it's turned off. So I installed this jump starter kit to try and help the compressor live longer as it works so hard. It is very easy to install, just need 2 wires to connect. When I first started the device after installing this product, I immediately noticed that the compressor starts up much faster and the lights don't dim as much. When the compressor starts, the light dims briefly, but noticeably less. But more importantly, the compressor can now start immediately after being turned off. It hasn't started since I installed this product. It can be turned off and restarted in a second and starts without error every time, so I no longer have to worry about the compressor burning out and failing when I try to start it.
