Perfect Nail Polish

One of my two air conditioners wouldn't turn on and turned off the circuit breaker. I called the HVAC guy and he wanted to install this particular part after realizing the factory unit didn't have enough power to run the unit. He mentioned that factory parts are not tightened enough these days and this is a common problem. It looks like these HVAC manufacturers made a business decision to make more money on replacement parts. Anyway, when he went to install the thing I asked him how much it…

Efficient, cheap, easy to install!

We had an HVAC technician that serviced our units and he recommended them - at $240 each! I have a friend who is in the HVAC industry and I asked if they were really recommended and effective and she said yes, especially on older units. They're SO incredibly easy to install - just insert 2 wires into the exposed terminals on your air conditioner and you're done. It can get a little tight fitting these pieces together with the rest of the current components, so keep in mind that you may not be…

Kickstart kits are easy to install and very effective. I had an air conditioner with a starting current of 31A. I put in a TO-5 kickstart and the starting current dropped to 8A. Right: from 31A to 8A. The TO-5 has the starting current almost to 1/4. I'm a believer. I installed kickstarts on all three air conditioners. Less start-up current and faster start-up reduces the compressor's start-up heat. This is also helpful as I have a Generac home alternator that cannot supply as many amps as my…

Immediately notice the difference

I've been thinking about getting kickstarts for my 3 ton air conditioner downstairs and my 2 ton heat pump upstairs for a while. I noticed that when the downstairs units turn on, the ceiling fan light in the bedroom dims. When I recently replaced the capacitor I made sure I had a place to install kickstarts. 2 TO5s purchased and installed (one for each block). That night I heard the thermostat click normally, but the light no longer dims. Installation was easy, one wire to HERM and the other to

It works. Nail Art & Polish

My air conditioner often turned off my switch. I haven't done it once since I put it on. The light doesn't go out when you turn it on. Ease of installation.

Tips with LRA, made in China, did not last long

By the way, they are made in China, which disappointed me a bit. I have just replaced an original Chinese made T05 installed by One Hour Air along with a dual run condenser installed on a new AC unit in January 2014. The compressor started to work. louder noise when starting. The Florida heat seems to be slowly killing the capacitors. Much cheaper than calling support and dealing with BS. The noise is down again, but I forgot to measure before and after the inrush amps. During the last…

Very happy with the nail polish

Very good installation I have a two story house in Florida with 2 3 ton AC units so I got this in hopes it will help my generator home to stay cool for next time hurricane i took 1 and installed it on top of my air conditioner and it definitely looks a difference when starting compared to the one that doesn't have it so i ordered another for the unit below. Update 5/13/20: I added another one to the AC device below and noticed the difference immediately. I hope this helps pay your utility bills

Fast/Soft Start Capacitor Set

Order two sets, install one on our home unit, and it will greatly reduce the noise the compressor makes when starting. Wanted to use the second in our RV but found the RV AC unit is a 110 volt unit and not compatible.

Just what I needed!

This jump starter is just what I needed. I have a very old wall mounted 1.5 ton AC unit in my house that cools the bedroom. The air conditioner is too big for the small bedroom it cools so even at low fan speeds the compressor cycles on and off every few minutes which is far from ideal. The problem I had was that after turning off the AC had to sit for a minute or two to allow the pressure to equalize before the compressor kicked in again. This was a problem because it shortened cycles so often
