Review on Rectorseal 96503 Kickstart T05 by Shannon Myers

One of my two air conditioners wouldn't turn on and turned off the circuit breaker. I called the HVAC guy and he wanted to install this particular part after realizing the factory unit didn't have enough power to run the unit. He mentioned that factory parts are not tightened enough these days and this is a common problem. It looks like these HVAC manufacturers made a business decision to make more money on replacement parts. Anyway, when he went to install the thing I asked him how much it would cost me. He says $235. I checked it out on Revain and it was $31! I showed it to him and he was immediately embarrassed. He stopped what he was doing and I'm ordering two of these right away, one for each unit. They arrived in 2 days (base) and I installed both in less than 10 minutes. Works great (caveat: only a few weeks so far) and I've saved over $400! I advise everyone to watch what your HVAC people are doing as they do it. Can save you a lot of money (for me of course). Pay them to diagnose, and if the problem is simple, solve the situation yourself.
