I put one on my snow thrower to keep the battery going for many months when not in use. I bought 10 feet of 4 gauge wire and used it to run the negatives from the engine bay through the firewall into my cabin to the switch and then a second wire back from the switch to the battery terminal. The cable came with a package of ends and some heat shrink tubing. It's very easy to press the ends against my cable with a vice and then heat the heat shrink tubing. Just use fish tape to get them through the firewall. Now I don't have to scrape snow and ice off the hood to get in and reconnect the battery. Get in the truck, flip the switch and off you go! One stupid thing I did was take the switch apart to see if it could be installed differently - DON'T DO THAT! I probably spent as much time putting it together correctly as I did mounting it!
