Not enough instructions and markings

Very strong magnifying glass required to view wiring diagram; There were virtually no instructions on how to install and connect cables. Identifying plus and minus poles was nearly impossible due to the white color of the base and figures. With such disgust I threw this thing in the trash (it was made in China after all, so nobody should be surprised).

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some small things

No more dead batteries in travel trailer

A simple solution to prevent the travel trailer batteries from draining during storage. We just drilled 4 holes and attached it to the top of one of the battery storage boxes and routed the cables through the formed holes. We bought an extra 10" cable from a local auto parts store. We watched several YouTube videos before deciding this model best suited our needs. Easy installation. Works perfectly.

Pros
  • Best in class

  • So-so

Battery accessory tab broken off

I broke the tab off without much effort trying to tighten it. I usually put 2 wrenches on the bolt to prevent something like you do with the copper fitting, but the width of the bottom nut is too thin to allow for this. What I liked about the switch is that the cable exit plates can be moved if you change your mind. It would work if the plastic was stronger. BTW, the nut is 5/8" and I was trying to fit a #2/0 spade lug with a 3/8" hole.

  • Very good price

Well Done Battery Switch Damage

The thing is complete garbage. The small installation brochure is illegible, even if you photograph it with a 12x camera and zoom in, you cannot read anything. I kept getting a spark thinking maybe the contacts were a certain polarity so I swapped them. No, it still sparkles. I was then able to read that there is a tab for entry and one for exit. Lined up the inlet on one tip and the outlet on the other and it blew out the fuse I had in place. Eventually I pulled out my tester and sure enough…

Well thought out switch

I was immediately impressed by the quality of this switch. Very durable with smooth operation. I decided to install it "inside" the top of the battery cover. A drill with a diameter of 51 mm is ideal. The included stainless steel hex head screws will not work with this installation. You must bring your own nuts, bolts and washers. It only took about 30 minutes to drill the hole and 4 corner screw holes. It will definitely pay off by getting rid of the annoyance I get from mysteriously draining…

Great, but I did it to him. . . .

I really like this switch because it's small and cheap. I was expecting scrap from another container from China. It's from China, but when we finally get around to taking them apart, this switch should be 100% recycled as is. Between boat, mobile home and car, I have plenty of time to deal with these things. This switch was installed on a vintage race car with an 8 foot battery cable. The maximum voltage is required from the battery to the starter. An adjustment was made which consisted of…

Easy install best replacement parts

I put one on my snow thrower to keep the battery going for many months when not in use. I bought 10 feet of 4 gauge wire and used it to run the negatives from the engine bay through the firewall into my cabin to the switch and then a second wire back from the switch to the battery terminal. The cable came with a package of ends and some heat shrink tubing. It's very easy to press the ends against my cable with a vice and then heat the heat shrink tubing. Just use fish tape to get them through…

Great Battery Switch Switch

These switches had a few little rough edges, such as a slit. B. the first signs of corrosion on the nuts immediately after unpacking. They are also a lot smaller than I expected. I'm used to the Blue Sea Systems battery switch, which is huge compared to them. There are mounting options for both front and rear, but I wish the front mount was a little flatter. There's a slight curve at the top of the switch, which probably looks nice with surface mount, but there's less "face" pressed against the

Defeat pesky energy vampires with this sturdy switch.

You can spend hours or lots of money trying to find every power vampire in your van. I spent two seasons where my battery was completely dead whenever I returned to my RV, despite my best attempts to turn them all off. Then, after the second season, my battery stopped charging. My RV dealer suggested a switch and after some research I went with it. There are other cheaper and simpler options, but I wanted something comfortable, safe, and durable. This switch really fits. It is very well made…
