Review on Enhanced Performance with the Classic Rope Company Magnetic Tendon Wrap by Robert Howell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Bought for my horse with a torn wad of checks.

My walking horse tore his left front ligament almost 5 weeks ago (detected by the doctor with an ultrasound). His injured leg remained swollen the whole time, even with the prescribed sweat bandages and walking on his hands. It doesn't lag noticeably, it even passed the bending test without any problems. The vet suggested getting PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy, but I can't find any research to prove the expensive alternative therapy works. Instead, I decided to try magnetic sheets as they are inexpensive. I found the quality to be decent, they are made from a transparent mesh like material, you can easily see the round magnets through the material. They are more adjustable than I expected, I will attach photos tomorrow. He has a Tennessee 16-grip trail horse and they fit him well. So far he has only worn them once (March 24th 2019) for almost 10 hours, his swelling seems to have gone down a bit but I am still skeptical at this point as they have been pressed tight and maybe the hair is just flatter. I have high hopes for these bandages and will update this review accordingly. an injury has occurred. I put the bandages back on last night (11-12am) and my husband took them off this morning. He didn't feel the leg but said it definitely looked smaller than before, I'll check when I get home and hopefully remember the pics this time. Healed as expected according to ultrasound and lameness test. The vet said to keep using the magnetic bandages as they seem to be helping. I work 12-hour shifts with 12 breaks almost every day.
