I bought this for a 2019 Rav 4 and was very disappointed when trying to install it. Going back to the reviews I saw that you had to put some effort in securing it to the bottom of the vent. I did it and it's hard. Not a perfect fit as my vents don't have dials to cover, but it will keep the phone steady. UPDATE - A previous review mentioned that it blocks the navigation screen. It's like it's at the bottom. However, it does block the center of the AC/Heat panel. It would be nice if there was a horizontal mounting option. FURTHER UPDATE - My iPhone XR stays very secure on this mount and I can rotate it horizontally with no modifications to the mount. I have a case on my phone and maybe it will make it more secure. ANOTHER UPDATE - the phone is no longer secure. I wish I could find something that mounts similarly to replace it
