Review on πŸͺž ToiletTree Products Deluxe Larger Fogless Shower Shaving Mirror: Premium Black Edition with Squeegee - Large Size by Chuck Derrick

Not like it used to be. Not recommended.

I bought a large/tall mirror because I liked the previous mirror from the same manufacturer (the deluxe model with the LED light) and also because I like the method of pre-fogging the mirror is preserved. But this is a very disappointing product. And here's why: This mirror is advertised as 'large'. Of course, scrolling through the images gives you dimensions, but at first glance I was expecting "larger" to mean. more. This mirror is actually slightly smaller than the previous mirror I received from this company. The bezels are a lot smaller, which is good, but the mirror itself (actually the reflective part) is smaller too. But as I said, the measurements in the photo are of the real product, so this is more of a perceptual and language argument. I assume they meant it should be larger than travel size. The mirror has a much cheaper design. This company's luxury mirror is solidly built and has served me well for years without complaint. The flat surfaces were smooth, the edges were even with no evidence of warping. However, this new mirror appears to be much worse and made with lower cost in mind. The plastic is thinner, everything is warped, and the whole thing feels kind of "cheap". A scraper is included that must fit into the slot on the tray. but since the entire shell is deformed and warped, the squeegee cannot go more than halfway into the slot. Also (hint), the squeegee is larger than the mirror; not much, but enough to make it awkward to use. This mirror offers the possibility to tilt/swivel the mirror to any desired position. This was supposed to be an upgrade as the old product could only tilt up and down. Unfortunately, the tilt/pivot ball joint is pretty loose. If you're careful, you can adjust the mirror to stay close to where you want it (provided it's pointing slightly up). But once you put water in the mirror to prevent fogging (the whole central design principle), the mirror becomes too heavy and hangs down and to the left, making the mirror unusable - I can look at my left shoulder without worry. about the mirror fogging up or I see myself shaving for about 15 seconds before the mirror digs in and I can't see anything. None of these options work for me. Finally, and this is a design issue, it mentions that the mirrorscape can be flipped. but if you do, you're only pouring the water out of the back of the mirror so that it fogs up again. Why brag about one trait that negates another? All of this, beveled corners in terms of material and construction, small size, poorly executed design and price hasn't changed from a (much) better luxury mirror that was a bit bigger, better built and equipped with LED lights. To be honest I don't know how they can justify the price of this product. To say I'm disappointed with what I'm getting now for the price would be an understatement.
