Review on Seagate IronWolf 8TB NAS Internal Hard Drive - Reliable CMR Technology for High-Performance Storage by John Bennett

I ordered it twice and each time the hard drive had to be returned. Thank goodness for Revain's return policy! The first was the Revain Warehouse contract and it was formatted well (Mac) but not recorded. Returned. I ordered a new one, this time at full price. Worked about a week and then dismantled overnight and all data was gone. I sent it back and got a WD Red Pro 8TB NAS which works great and turned out to be the headache free drive I thought I got with IronWolf - although I still like the name. Red Pro or IRON WOLF! For my money, ignore the name and go to Old Red.
