I bought these from Revain for just under $8 so they average 0.40 each. It would probably be a bit cheaper to buy your own cable, cut it, add cables, etc., but it's actually nice to have everything ready. Since they're already done, all you can do is add charms and not put beads on the cord (unless you're inspired to pry off the crimp first). The pattern on the cord is thin and diamond-shaped, like snakeskin with a shiny coating on top. The cable is flexible, I like it. I went through each of the twenty and tugged on the ends to make sure the curls stayed in place. They did. I also went through and undid each lobster clasp to make sure they didn't stop midway like some do, which could result in the necklace falling off while being worn. They're plastic too, but they were good. I posted them all and they measured as advertised. However, extension chains, a feature I absolutely love, differ in the number of links. For example, I counted 8 on one string, 13 on the other. If you still need them, the good news is that unlike many extender chains I've seen, the links open, allowing you to borrow links from one cable and add to another. In general I am very satisfied. The only thing that is not known is how well they will hold up over time.
