These bedroom slippers are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. So they are just as comfortable as slippers no matter where you are. I only wear them for a few days outdoors and I really like them. I have two minor issues, neither of which, or the sum of which would cause me to lower them. My first problem is the size of the inlet. Please see the photos that are part of this review. I have Sperry's next to another pair of slippers. The Sperry is a bit more difficult to use due to the smaller intake and less flexible upper. It's not a big deal, but I noticed it a few times when I put my shoes on. Nobody can put them on without the help of a hand or a shoehorn. The reason for this smaller opening is that the Sperry sits higher on the foot than the regular loafers they sit next to. This means they fit at their top limit where your foot is thinner than at the bottom where your foot is affected. The good thing is that they fit more securely on the foot than shorter shoes. My second problem is the thickness of the sole. I spent several hours on uneven grass and twisted my ankle twice. The sole is so thick that I can't feel the ground and automatically correct my stride if I feel uneven. With a thinner sole, I can feel the slope of the ground and change my foot pressure without thinking about compensating. The corners were small stumbles with no injuries, but nothing would have happened with a thinner sole. If comfort is what you're looking for, this could be the shoe you've been hoping for.
