I bought this wallet for my son. I took it on several trips until it was worn so I guess real leather. It's not a big wallet, but it doesn't need a lot of card slots. It's soft on the outside and he carries it in his pocket. It doesn't have that huge bulge that you see on the back of jeans with big wallets. He loves to! He's only had it a few months so can't comment on durability but so far so good. The color is deep, dark blue, almost black, as in the picture. Happy with the purchase.
