It appears to have a nice thick chrome plate. Looks good. Fits great. No complaints. The kit does not include a gasket, so use your own sealant.

I only gave 4 stars because the cap falls in if you're not careful. it must have a conical seat [tube plug]. Before installing, I applied silicone sealant to the connector.

Had to be replaced with a new one as the drain plug on the side of the differential had frozen and bent the breaker. I'm not a huge fan of chrome, but it looks and works great on the Yukon I installed it on.

Throw the back 10 screws for replacement without rust. The filling hole looks a bit odd, almost crooked, but it doesn't leak. I smeared the threads with black RTV and tightened them until they were snug. Used a Fel-Pro gasket, lightly smeared RTV Black on the flange and new bolts, looks good, no leaks. I wanted to paint, but the spare tire covers half of it and it's almost imperceptible. I would love to have a drain hole but to be honest it will be another 7 years before it becomes important to

The stock diff cover has a cut out that the brake line caliper attaches to. This recess does not exist. Otherwise it fits well.

10 bolts thrown in the back to replace rust. The filler hole sees a bit odd looking almost crooked but no leak I smeared the threads with black RTV and tightened it It had a drainage hole but to be honest it will be 7 more years before it becomes important to me.
