These sticks are either much more expensive or not available at all. I took a chance with them after reading many reviews and I'm so glad I did! They arrived in a rectangular Revain box and came in a thin clear pouch. So, as mentioned above, they could be bent at the tips, but most weren't. It's likely that the company selling them should have charged a lot more money if they had sent them to Amazon in more protective packaging. I carefully removed them from the thin pouch and plastic wrap. Then I went into my DRY bath and used the blow dryer on medium heat, low power and waved the blow dryer over them, two at a time. In just a few seconds tossing them back and forth will make them fluffy and fluffy. A few feathers flew off - no big deal. I just plucked a few tips that were slightly bent with my fingers! You can also cut them off and then just rub the new tip between your fingers to pull out the feathered part. These dry stems are simply THE STEAL, the color is bright and vibrant and they look amazing if you just take a little time to style them. I mean, a fake Christmas tree doesn't look that cool right off the bat, does it? Also note that the terracotta container I put them in is filled with some crumbled paper to hold these stems taller - they aren't as long as they look in the photos.
