Review on 💡 Hella Optilux XY Series HB4 9006 Xenon Yellow Halogen Bulbs, 12V, 55W, 2 Pack by Ryan Frawley

UPDATE 07/06/16 - Less than 4 months have passed since purchase and one of the bulbs has blown. The thread inside has melted. the bulb is dead. Both have been replaced by Xtravision Sylvania and the yellow film will go the light-body route. I record my mileage and driving hours. They lasted 200 hours = about 100 hours less than the Silverstars! I'll apply for a guarantee and see what they say. IMHO it's not worth it. UPDATE in 20 minutes - Optilux XYs are expressly excluded from the Hella guarantee (ie if they break by the 31st day you're stuck) Guarantee and Warranty (1) for one year from the date of purchase Hella Xenon Blue lamps (only DOT- approved standard wattage bulbs - high wattage bulbs not applicable) Hella xenon capsules (certain applications may void warranty) Optilux XP and XY (high performance Optilux XB bulbs are not used). "Initial review Rating 5 stars - they work great in a standard case. A few days later I got caught in thick fog and really noticed the difference. It will be interesting to see how long they last as I use the fog lights as daytime running lights.
