Review on 🐌 SOBAKEN Genchem Planted Tank Planaria Hydra Killer - Safe for Shrimp, Fish, and more by Christopher Foreman

I ended up getting a Hydra in my aquarium and my Amano and Otos never seemed to settle down, they couldn't find a place to rest because of the Hydra. I've never seen a planarian, but I've had plenty of pest snails. I chose No Planaria because it is safe for shrimp and plants. I've researched and researched this product and read good things and bad so I was very nervous about adding it to my aquarium. In fact, I waited a few days, contemplating whether to use it at all. Eventually I decided I wanted to keep seeing my Amanos, so I removed my Nerite snails and dosed my aquarium. I have a 28 gallon Euro Bowfront, I'm guessing about 24 gallons in the tank. So I made 2 scoops, that's 20 gallons. An hour later I saw several nematodes (roundworms) fighting or dead in my tank, I didn't even know they were there, I had never seen them before. After 12 hours I could see several dead hydras but some were still alive, after 24 I saw very few hydras alive. After 36 hours I had no visible hydra and no more pest snails. On the second day I saw what I thought was a dead Amano on my hook, but then realized it was about to fall off. Since I was out of hydra after 48 hours and had never seen a planarian, I decided no further treatment was needed. I did a 40% water change on day 3, my blush, otos and amanos felt good. By day 5 my quarantine fish were ready for my tank so I did a 25% water change and added 2 German blue sheep and 10 charcoal tetras and after 3 days they are all doing great. In fact, my rummy heads have never been this red, the embers are starting to color really nicely, and my GBRs are fully colored and have pink bellies. All my plants are doing well too. I got rid of hydra, slugs, and nematodes I didn't know about. I feel like my aquarium is back under my control and I will wait about 2 months to get my Corneal Guards back. I read where people lost snails there after back and then 1 month later and I don't want to risk it. Maybe in the future I'll just insulate my new plants with it so I don't get this stuff back into my main tank. Update: Everything is still going great, no deaths, I've added 3 more Amanos in the meantime. However, I did come across one snail that did, and it was a baby posthorn, so it was possible it was still in the egg at the time. Anyway, I like ramshorn snails, so I'll stay as a tank mate. Very happy with my results in about two weeks.
