This is normal. However, it is always best to use dead stretch with glass stoppers or bandage tape. I only found out after buying the set. Tapers can really damage your ears by creating stress due to injury. Please keep this in mind, especially for larger sizes. You should never use larger than smaller cones. Blunt force trauma damages your ears. I personally had trouble with 14g when I started out as the ends of the tunnels are not beveled or follow a cone, but again, cones should not be used. When you're ready to start stretching, I recommend a pair of 14g glass stoppers from Body Art Forms. They can be found on Etsy or on their website. Please watch your ears!
