Not worth it for dinners and parties
I used to use one of those spatulas to slice cheese on a stick of cold butter. Try it, it works great. It works much better than these knives. It seemed to be the same idea. It seemed like it would produce a more manageable amount of butter to spread on because using cheese slices makes a lot of butter, but it works. They just made a big mess that didn't spread. I can use a regular knife if I want the same result.
