camera system - very good device. Customer service abroad is good, response time is 24 hours. Easy to set up. The app works well too. But be careful, the company has a lot of great new cameras to add to the NVR. While that's true, I was able to add a few internal cameras to the NVR. When these additional cameras were added to the NVR, some camera functionality was lost. The customer service representative confirmed that I would lose functionality when connected to the NVR. Lost special features like people detection, people tracking and pre-scan (auto patrol) no longer work when connected to an NVR. The reason I contacted the NVR was to reduce data usage compared to a standalone device which is always consuming data. It's great for keeping track of people when you're not around and checking on your pet. Even during the pandemic (kids at home with online learning), Xfinity still doesn't give unlimited data at no extra charge. I have an old Xmarto system, this was great, no data was used until you wanted to scroll through the app. So it looks like the company has moved to standalone cameras and lost some of its original ideals when the company started, which was to minimize data usage. So Xmarto, if you're listening, you might want to update your NVR's firmware a bit. Your NVR must have the same features as your application. When you connect new full-featured cameras to the NVR, they turn into ordinary cameras! Luckily I have to return this system before the end of January, I hope you can think of something before my return date.
