Review on 🔋 Yuasa YUA1203000 3 Amp Battery Charger and Maintainer with Automatic Features by Victor Ahmed

This charger was made and tested for sports batteries only. This element should be more clearly marked in this way. I bought this after reading good reviews about it and use it on a marine and garden tractor battery. While charging a new ship's battery, beginning at 12.61 p.m., it turned green at 1.02 p.m. after about 40 minutes. I unplugged the charger to check and then plugged it back in and it started out solid green and blinked red (indicating 75% charge) which is wrong. Three hours after turning it off, the battery was at 12.67. I called support and was told that this charger was made and tested specifically for sports batteries only. Using a lawn tractor battery the light was accurate and it charged this 3 year old battery to 13.44 (surface charge not removed). I will leave the charger on the ship's battery for a few days to see if it charges fully and holds a charge. This charger needs to be labeled differently. I was told by customer service that the headlights would probably not work properly for anything other than a sports battery (motorcycle, lawn tractor, etc.).
